When Words Collide Aftermath

I had a great time at the When Words Collide writer's conference in Calgary recently. There are always new things to learn and contacts to be made. It was nice to get together in person, for the first time, with my Wednesday Writer's Group. We've been doing everything online for a year or so and it was a change to interact socially and in real life (and with real wine). Thanks for all your help, group. At the conference, I particularly enjoyed meeting all the experts: the ex-military folks helping write fight scenes, the ex-cops explaining the law & the delightful poison lady who's tired of writers killing people the wrong way ☠️. See the Top Reads post for one of her books.
I got a chance to perform some of my songs, and cabaret night was a blast. My cheeks were sore from laughing. Another fun book that was read out during the cabaret:
Babies With Rabies.
