With this year's new releases on the wine horizon, it's time to make some room in the wine cellar. One of the underappreciated products of our B.C. wineries is their fantastic fortified wine selection. Unfortunately, these are typically nowhere to be found in local liquor vendors. Limited production may be an issue. One or two of them always make it into the box when I visit B.C. winery stores.
This Tawny Port from La Frenz winery on the Naramata bench is a fine one that can compete with any of the European imports. La Frenz also makes a regular vintage port that is also quite good.
